Anxiety can make your mind feel like it's always working a shift you never agreed to. You replay conversations, prepare for problems that have not happened, and notice every sign that something might go wrong. Even when life is calm, your body may not believe it.
People may tell you to relax. You've probably tried. Anxiety isn't caused by a lack of effort.
Anxiety may show up as:
Sometimes anxiety is connected to trauma, cultural adjustment, family expectations, work, relationships, health concerns, or a long history of needing to stay alert.
CBT helps you understand the cycle of anxious thoughts, body reactions, avoidance, and short-term relief. You learn to question predictions, respond differently to uncertainty, and gradually face situations that anxiety has taught you to avoid.
SFBT keeps therapy connected to the life you want. We look for exceptions: times when worry had less power, then identify small changes that can build confidence.
DBT skills can help you stay grounded during intense anxiety, tolerate discomfort without making the situation worse, and communicate needs more clearly.
We'll not force you to move faster than you are ready to move. We'll also be honest about how avoidance can keep anxiety strong. The goal is not to remove every uncomfortable feeling. It's to help you live with more freedom and less fear.
